At Riai, we have many different activities each semester in addition to the regular training. Every semester we have “Riai fun” where we come up with fun crafts and other activities depending on the weather. The parents make coffee and pastries, and we usually end with the theater group performing the semester performance with a new episode from the foxes’ lives. Sometimes we are outdoors with a quiz walk and training in various playful ways.
When you start in group 2, you get to be part of the semester’s big sleepover, when we train, eat pizza, watch movies and then spend the night in the dojo. It is very cozy and many children have made their sleepover debut at Riai.
When you start in group 3, you can join our annual Happy Aikido Summer Camp at Katrinebergs Folkhögskola. It is usually in June just after school ends and lasts for four days. Children and youth from many different clubs between the ages of 10-22 come together and train. The summer camp is the aikido highlight of the year for many children!
